Yesterday, I read The Hogfather by Terry Pratchett another time. It's definitely one of the best. I liked the justification given for telling kids things like the Soul Cake Duck (Easter Bunny) and Hogfather (Santa Claus) are true, even though I don't agree with it. It was good philosophical thinking. And now, a quote or two.

I also studied some for my Spanish midterm tommorrow. I think I'll do okay on it. I need to study vocabulary today though. Good old flashcard time. Just gotta be careful that the word doesn't get attached to the flashcard and is still kept as an abstract for me to use at any time.
*laughs* I have to teach a bit of class this morning. Stuff about one type of irregular preterits. The other two people in my group are covering the other types of irregular preterits. I look forward to it, it should be pretty fun. And it happens in about an hour. So I only get to look forward to it for a little time.

A band came to chuch last night to give us a demonstration for TAB so I did not have to set up, help run the sound or take down. I'm so, so, so very thankful for that. One of the first times in months that I've felt that I had a good corporate worship experience.
We watched Pirates of the Carribean again last night with the youth group. I have come to the conclusion that after the ninth or tenth time watching a movie, I can only do it with my family. More specifically, with Ruth, Sarah and Rebecca. The running commentary keeps things from going dry.
And I've been playing Ragnarok Online and am finding out that once you get past the Novice stage, it's actually quite fun. Of course, with how I play, I chose three characters, leveled them up to Job Level 10 on whatever they were going to be, and then set down to have fun. More or less. I still gotta get three more levels on my Battle Acolyte.

Okay, time for a spooky story. A few weeks ago I was reading a miscellaneous Pratchett. Which one it was, I can't quite recall. It's immaterial to the story. Anyways, I was laying on my bed with my head toward the computer. I was tired for some reason and fell asleep. The book and my glasses fell off the end of the bed. When I woke up, I couldn't find my glasses. I had to use my spare pair.
Saturday night, I stayed up all night playing Civilization III with some friends. When I went home, I started reading the Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide. While I was reading it, I fell asleep and my glasses and book fell off the end of the bed. Later, I woke up and went outside to the camper (where there's AC) and went to sleep. When I came back up, I reached down off the end of my bed and pulled up my glasses.
They weren't my spare pair of glasses. Those had seemingly disappeared. These were the glasses I lost a few weeks ago off the end of the bed. What was quite odd was that the second time I fell asleep it was not with my head towards the computer. My head was at the other end of the bed. Strange occurences.
My Dad suddenly started talking about Spontaneous Human Combustion and other odd para-scientific things last night when we were eating ice cream. It was odd. Crazy people, when related to you and are actually crazy, aren't all that fun. They don't understand the basics of human interaction.
