So, I have Blockbuster movies and I've had Terry Pratchett's Soul Music and Wyrd Sisters on my queue for so long that it isn't even funny and they were on LONG WAIT, so I knew it would take forever for me to get them. I was okay with that. I would get them though and that would be absolutely awesome.
Until Blockbuster removed them from their inventory. Today.

( Harry Potter House Quiz )
I thought I'd be in Ravenclaw, actually. Last time I was Hugglepuff, I believe. Gryffindor's okay with me, I suppose.
Yesterday, I read The Hogfather by Terry Pratchett another time. It's definitely one of the best. I liked the justification given for telling kids things like the Soul Cake Duck (Easter Bunny) and Hogfather (Santa Claus) are true, even though I don't agree with it. It was good philosophical thinking. And now, a quote or two.
AND NOW THERE REMAINS ONLY ONE FINAL QUESTION.
HAVE YOU BEEN NAUGHTY ... OR NICE?
HO. HO. HO.
~Death in the very end.
--"Well, I mean, dammit, it's human nature, isn't it?" said Ridcully hotly. "Things go wrong, things get lost, it's natural to invent little creatures that -- All right, all right, I'll be careful. All I'm saying is that man is naturally a mythopoeic creature."
--"What's that mean?" said the Senior Wrangler.
--"Means we make things up as we go along," said the Dean, not looking up.
~On the Accretion of Belief
I also studied some for my Spanish midterm tommorrow. I think I'll do okay on it. I need to study vocabulary today though. Good old flashcard time. Just gotta be careful that the word doesn't get attached to the flashcard and is still kept as an abstract for me to use at any time.
*laughs* I have to teach a bit of class this morning. Stuff about one type of irregular preterits. The other two people in my group are covering the other types of irregular preterits. I look forward to it, it should be pretty fun. And it happens in about an hour. So I only get to look forward to it for a little time.
Taking a look at my chat logs lengths...
1. Kearney with a whopping 656kb of conversation.
2. Raserei trailing by slightly less than 200kb at 461.
3. IronPaw almost another full 100 behind at 368.
4. Myrhakel at 326kb.
5. Digger precisely 100kb behind her at 226.
This doesn't take into account where people talk to me with two different chatting engines. Myrhakel's count would probably be up higher if I spliced the MSN-Trillian and MSN conversations into her count. And maybe some more added to Ras from his MSN also.
Nothing really more to say... Need to go reply to Reno at VI though...

"Baths is unhygenic. Sitting around in your own filth like that." ~Granny Weatherwax, Witches Abroad (I think)
I think I agree with her now. I took a bath for the first time in a very long time yesterday. I much prefer showers.
Must ... go ... summarize ... the ... Island .... thread.

Discworld: Which Ankh-Morpork City Watch Character are YOU?

That was the third time. I am NOT Cheri Littlebottom. Friggin' idiotic test.

PS: Ahahahahhahaha!!!!!
~Maskerade, Pratchett.
Okay, so, today. What did I do?
Firstly, I woke up to the sound of my brother playing video games. It was eight something in the morning. Eight something in the morning! He was playing Tribes. It's a grand old game, granted, but ... eight something in the morning! Oh, well, I had to be up by nine at least to go to...
Geography. The next stop of my day's journey. I went to the class, having missed all of last week. And I flat-out told him I had no excuse. In front of the whole class. Hah. He was a little disappointed (I think he thinks I like the class), but at least I was honest. I detest Geography. I loathe Geography. Geography is a thing out of Astfgl's Hell. We were reviewing for the final though, so I couldn't miss.
The next class was Advanced C++. I lurves Advanced C++. And not just 'cause the teacher tells me to shut up 'cause I'm a know-it-all ass. It's because I like to program. I love to sit there and punch in code and see that after I've done all that punching that it's all wrong. Because then I get to debug it. Debugging is my forte. That sounded weird, but it's true. Anyways, we learned about overloading operators in Managed C++, which we needed to know for the final project.
From there I went home. I sang in the car when I went home. I generally always sing in the car when I'm alone. Heh, sang the signs I saw... Yes. I'm weird.
I started the test run of "Achoo's Notes" on VI. That I think will be cool. I think it will also make the Aide-de-camp a position that actually does something. Cruel, aren't I?
From then it was back to school to help a friend finish up our last Maths Lab for the year. It was so easy that we sat there and worked on debugging our project. We got it to compile finally. *laughs evilly* No one else had reached that point. The project is due on Sunday. Muaha.
Nothing more really to report, except that the punishment is taking effect. I suppose I'll have to live with it. *Sighs*

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA H! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA H! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA H!
I feel much better after those screams...
Explanation: Well, I was working on stuff and I left to take out the trash. Somehow, when I went or came back, I flicked off the computer. And there went my whole latest function. It was big. And nasty. And now it's gone.
Thankfully, it wasn't the FightBattle function which is bigger and required a lot more thinking. Now, nose back against the grindstone, the night is young.
NO, THE NIGHT IS OLD. THE NIGHT IS ALWAYS OLD. ~Death, the Hogfather.

Welly, welly, well, well, well. Here I am back at the end of the day. Quite tired I be, and I shall relate to you how, precisely, that came about. That is, after all, one of the things one puts in your journels, eh?
As some of you may know, I slept from about 4 of the pee-em to about 11 of the pee-em yesterday. Friday, as it happened to be. Hence, I was up the rest of the night. I talked with my good friend Bethany* a bit and she was going to Lucasville that next day. Or, er, later that day, seeing as by that time it was 3:30 of the ay-em. Well, seeing as my sister and her are best friends, she wanted me to bring 'em up. So I thought about it...
[A side note: Lucasville is basically the Mother-of-All-Flea-Markets. There's everything there, including the kitchen sink.]
At about 8 of the ay-em this morning, I decided I oughta have a bit of a nap, seeing as I had been awake most of the night. I slept from then to about Noonish. Precisely about noonish, I believe. Then I went in and set up the sound system at church. As I wouldn't be actually going to the service because it's an Easter service,** I decided to go to Lucasville.
Anyways, after passing my plans past my Mom, I took my sister (equilo) and my other younger sister, Sarah up to Lucasville. We wandered around for some time looking at things. I was out for a canesword and Sarah and Ruth were just looking around and hoping to meet up with Bethany and their family.
Well, we were looking at foreign coins, the Lilly's (Beth's family) walked behind us and we just barely caught them. I got a sixpence (Reaper Man - AND SIXPENCE IS SIXPENCE.) and Ruth got the Queen's Shilling... Two Discworld references for the price of one. We wandered around with Beth and her sister Mariann for a while looking at stuff. It went good, I thought.
Then Beth and Mariann had to leave. *Sniffs, winks* I went to one of the sword booths and picked up a cool canesword after they left. It has a dragon on the top, which, when the blade is screwed out, becomes the hilt.
After that, we went to the "other" good sword booth and I bought a large-ish broadsword and Ruth got a short (to me at least) sword. And then we went home and I came up here and wrote this entry.
*Looks around tiredly* Quite a full day, if'n you ask me...
*Just good friend. *Glares at tutting people*
**Eh, ask if you want to...
